New Flavors + Anniversary from Planters

Did you know that Planters pioneered the peanut dry roasting process back in 1962? They’re celebrating the 50 anniversary of this unique cooking method that preserves the peanuts’ flavor and seasonings without oil. According to a Planters spokesperson, the dry roasting process has changed little since the early days but—with an eye on sustainability—their facility has become more efficient.

To mark the anniversary, you’ll soon see two new flavored peanuts from Planters: Roasted Onion & Garlic and Honey Barbeque Dry Roasted Peanuts. Mr. Peanut is sure to be a part of the celebration so check out what’s going on his Facebook page.

Think you’ll try the new flavors?
